Film making and TV Programme making is teamwork and involves a huge number of working hands. To co-ordinate the working of these hands as if they belong to one person is a difficult task and requires someone to have thorough knowledge of all the working hands. This person is called the Director. He is actually a visualizer. To narrate an imaginative story, through visuals and sounds by using all the crafts of film making at his disposal is the job of a director. Direction
itself is a highly creative job and requires special skills to be able to imagine conceive and narrate a story or idea. Howsoever
difficult it may sound, the art of direction can be learnt. At FILM, it would be our endeavor to bring out this talent in a student, to polish it and make him realize that though a highly responsible job, direction can be loads of fun. |
